Taroudant Tiout day trip from Agadir
€ 50
Taroudant and Tiout: ramparts, souk and palm grove
The old Saadian capital, then an oasis at the foot of the Atlas.
The road crosses the fertile Souss plain. Photo stop: goats perched in the argan trees.
In Taroudant, inside its ochre ramparts, you wander through the souk of spices and crafts, then walk along the walls.
Next is the oasis and kasbah of Tiout. Lunch is tajine, couscous, seasonal fruit and mint tea. Afterwards comes a guided walk through the palm grove (optionally by donkey) and the old kasbah where Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves was filmed in the 1950s.
