From the coast to Merzouga: 3 days to the Erg Chebbi dunes
This tour starts at your door on the Atlantic. You choose where it ends.
Day 1. Taroudant and its red ramparts, Taliouine and its saffron, then Aït Ben Haddou, explored on foot. Dinner and the night in the Dades Valley.
Day 2. The hairpin bends of the Dades Gorge, then a walk between the 300-metre walls of the Todra Gorge. Lunch in Tinghir, then palm groves and plains to Merzouga. In the late afternoon, you ride a camel into Erg Chebbi as the sun goes down. Sandboarding, dinner under the stars.
Day 3. Sunrise over the dunes. Then either back to the coast (the longest day) or finish in Marrakech via N’Kob, the Draa Valley and the High Atlas.

Day 1 · Agadir / Taghazout → Aït Ben Haddou → Dades Valley
Early pick-up at your hotel, apartment or surf house. Drive inland past the red ramparts of Taroudant, then climb into the Anti-Atlas to Taliouine, famous for its saffron.
Continue through Tazenakht to Aït Ben Haddou for a walk through the old ksar, then drive past Ouarzazate to the Dades Valley for dinner and the night.
Day 2 · Dades Gorge → Todra Gorge → Merzouga
Start with the hairpin bends of the Dades Gorge, then walk between the 300-metre walls of the Todra Gorge. After lunch in Tinghir, cross palm groves and desert plains via Erfoud to Merzouga.
In the late afternoon, climb on your camel and ride into the Erg Chebbi dunes as the sun goes down. Try sandboarding, then enjoy dinner at the camp under the stars.
Day 3 · Merzouga → Agadir / Taghazout or Marrakech
Watch the sunrise over the dunes and have breakfast at the camp. Then head west on the road you chose when booking:
Ending in Marrakech: via N’Kob, the Draa Valley and the High Atlas, arriving at your hotel, riad or the airport in the evening.
Back to Agadir, Taghazout or Tamraght: via Ouarzazate, Taliouine and Taroudant, arriving late in the evening – the longest road of the tour. Prefer a calmer day? Add an extra night on the way.

Good to know
- 🎒 What to bring: comfortable shoes, sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen, a scarf against wind and sand, a warm layer and a small overnight bag for the camp.
- 🌙 Desert nights are cold – from November to March it can drop close to 0 °C at night, so pack a warm jacket.
- ☀️ Best seasons: March to May and September to November. In summer the desert is very hot (often over 40 °C); winter brings sunny days and chilly nights.
- 🚐 Long driving days – southern Morocco is vast. Driving times include photo and rest stops, and your driver-guide adapts the pace to you.
- 🥗 Food: vegetarian or another diet? Just tell us when you book.
- 💳 Booking & payment: no online payment when you book. We confirm availability on WhatsApp, then a 30% deposit paid via a payment link secures your tour. The balance is paid on day 1 (in cash or as agreed).

FAQ
Is the price per person?
Yes. Prices are per person and get lower as your group grows. For example, 4 travellers pay €210 each, so €840 in total – whichever end point you choose.
Will we share the van with other travellers?
No. This is a private tour: the van, the driver-guide and the itinerary are just for your group.
Is a guide included?
Yes. Your English- or French-speaking driver-guide stays with you for the whole tour, tells you about the places you visit and helps with everything on the way. At big sites such as Aït Ben Haddou you can also hire a licensed local guide on the spot (optional, paid locally).
What is the desert camp like?
You sleep in a private tent with proper beds and your own bathroom. Dinner is served at the camp, and on clear nights the sky is full of stars. Electricity and Wi-Fi can be limited.
Can we change the itinerary or add a night?
Of course – it’s your private tour. Tell us what you’d like (an extra night, a slower pace, another start or end point) and we’ll send you a price on WhatsApp.
Is this tour suitable for children?
Yes, families are welcome. The days include long drives, so we take regular breaks. Tell us the children’s ages when you book.
How do I book and pay?

Where does the tour end?
