Zagora in 2 days: from the ocean to the dunes, privately
The shortest way from the coast to the Sahara: one night under the stars, at your own pace.
Day 1. Early pick-up at your accommodation. The road passes Taroudant, climbs into the Anti-Atlas to Taliouine and its saffron fields, then follows the green ribbon of the Draa Valley after Agdz. Near Zagora, you swap the van for a camel and ride into the dunes at sunset. Then come sandboarding, dinner and a night at the camp.
Day 2. Sunrise over the dunes, breakfast, then back via the palm groves and kasbahs of Agdz, the Anti-Atlas and Taroudant. Arrival in the evening.
Zagora’s dunes are smaller than Merzouga’s, but the oases, the kasbahs and the starry night make this a real desert experience in a short time.

Day 1 · Agadir / Taghazout → Draa Valley → Zagora desert
Early pick-up at your hotel, apartment or surf house. Drive inland past Taroudant and climb into the Anti-Atlas to Taliouine and its saffron fields, then continue towards Ouarzazate.
After Agdz, the road follows the Draa Valley, with its endless palm groves and earthen villages. Near Zagora, swap the van for a camel and ride into the dunes at sunset. Sandboarding, dinner and a night at the desert camp.
Day 2 · Zagora → Draa Valley → Agadir / Taghazout
Sunrise over the dunes and breakfast at the camp. Drive back up the Draa Valley with photo stops at the palm groves and kasbahs around Agdz.
Cross the Anti-Atlas again via Taliouine and Taroudant, and arrive back at your accommodation in Agadir, Taghazout or Tamraght in the evening.

Good to know
- 🎒 What to bring: comfortable shoes, sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen, a scarf against wind and sand, a warm layer and a small overnight bag for the camp.
- 🌙 Desert nights are cold – from November to March it can drop close to 0 °C at night, so pack a warm jacket.
- ☀️ Best seasons: March to May and September to November. In summer the desert is very hot (often over 40 °C); winter brings sunny days and chilly nights.
- 🚐 Long driving days – southern Morocco is vast. Driving times include photo and rest stops, and your driver-guide adapts the pace to you.
- 🥗 Food: vegetarian or another diet? Just tell us when you book.
- 💳 Booking & payment: no online payment when you book. We confirm availability on WhatsApp, then a 30% deposit paid via a payment link secures your tour. The balance is paid on day 1 (in cash or as agreed).

FAQ
Is the price per person?
Yes. Prices are per person and get lower as your group grows. For example, 4 travellers pay €200 each, so €800 in total.
Will we share the van with other travellers?
No. This is a private tour: the van, the driver-guide and the itinerary are just for your group.
Is a guide included?
Yes. Your English- or French-speaking driver-guide stays with you for the whole tour, tells you about the places you visit and helps with everything on the way. At some sites, such as the old kasbahs, you can also hire a local guide on the spot (optional, paid locally).
What is the desert camp like?
You stay in a comfortable desert camp with tents and proper beds. Dinner is served at the camp, and on clear nights the sky is full of stars. Facilities are simpler than in a hotel, and electricity and Wi-Fi can be limited.
Can we change the itinerary or add a night?
Of course – it’s your private tour. Tell us what you’d like (an extra night, a slower pace, another start or end point) and we’ll send you a price on WhatsApp.
Is this tour suitable for children?
Yes, families are welcome. The days include long drives, so we take regular breaks. Tell us the children’s ages when you book.

Zagora or Merzouga – what’s the difference?
Zagora is closer, so it fits into 2 days and gives you a real taste of the desert, palm groves and kasbahs. Its dunes are smaller: for the tall golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, choose our 3-day tour to Merzouga.
